Flavored Blue Milk Cereal Creation

Ingredients

  • 1 cup + 2 cups plant based milk
  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp blue spirulina (can sub for any coloured superfood powder eg pink pitaya, green spirulina)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
  • flavour of choice (i used 1 tbsp dried lavender but you could go for something less strong like cinnamon & vanilla)

Preparation

  1. Whisk 1 cup of the milk with the spirulina

  2. Place the remaining milk in a saucepan, heat with your flavouring (you can use a reusable tea bag to place the lavender in)

  3. Keep heating for 5 more minutes, then take off the heat and let cool to room temperature

  4. Stir in the spirulina milk mixture to the cooked milk

  5. Refrigerate and serve

  6. Can be used to make nice creams, porridges, and hot drinks
