Warm Saffron Golden Milk Drink
Ingredients
- 1 cup plant-based milk of choice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 15-20 strands saffron
- pinch of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon maple or agave syrup
Preparation
Pour the milk into a pot on medium heat.
Crumble the dry saffron strands with your fingers and add them to the milk together with the rest of the spices.
Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes and then take off the heat.
Stir in the syrup, pour into a cup and serve.
Tips
If desired, decorate with a few extra strands of saffron.
