Warm Saffron Golden Milk Drink

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plant-based milk of choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 15-20 strands saffron
  • pinch of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon maple or agave syrup

Preparation

  1. Pour the milk into a pot on medium heat.

  2. Crumble the dry saffron strands with your fingers and add them to the milk together with the rest of the spices.

  3. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes and then take off the heat.

  4. Stir in the syrup, pour into a cup and serve.

Tips

  1. If desired, decorate with a few extra strands of saffron.
