Saffron Golden Milk Drink

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plant-based milk of choice
  • 0.5 tsp ground turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp ground ginger
  • 0.25 tsp ground cardamom
  • 15-20 strands saffron
  • pinch of black pepper
  • 1 tbsp maple or agave syrup

Preparation

  1. Pour the milk in a pot on medium heat.

  2. Crumble the dry saffron strands with your fingers and add to the milk together with the rest of the spices.

  3. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes and take off the heat.

  4. Stir in the syrup and pour into cups.

Tips

  1. Optionally decorate with a few extra strands of saffron.
