Make Your Own Almond Milk

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almonds
  • 3-4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or 2-3 dates

Preparation

  1. Soak the almonds in water for at least 4 hours.

  2. Optional: Peel the almonds for a smoother consistency.

  3. Add the soaked almonds, 3-4 cups of water, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon maple syrup or 2-3 dates to a blender.

  4. Blend for about 90 seconds.

  5. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag to separate the liquid from the pulp.

Tips

  1. Do not blend for too long to avoid warming the mixture, which can affect the quality.
