Quick Summer Melon Dessert

Ingredients

  • Half a medium melon (about 500 grams)
  • 1 cup melon or vanilla ice cream
  • 1 package melon jelly powder
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)

Preparation

  1. Dissolve the jelly powder in boiling water and let it cool slightly while keeping it warm.

  2. Soften the ice cream by leaving it at room temperature for a few minutes.

  3. Blend the melon with the jelly mixture and softened ice cream until smooth.

  4. Add sugar to taste if desired and mix well.

  5. Serve immediately for a soft texture or chill in the refrigerator for a firmer consistency.

Tips

  1. For a smoother texture, heat the jelly mixture in the microwave or over steam for a minute after dissolving.

  2. To make the dessert firmer, add half a teaspoon of gelatin powder before blending.
