Coconut Cardamom Oatmeal Breakfast

Ingredients

  • 1/3 or 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tbsp coconut flakes
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch cardamom
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 medjool date mashed or 1-2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 cup coconut beverage or almond milk

Preparation

  1. In a sauce pan add coconut flakes and milk.

  2. Bring to a simmer.

  3. Add in remaining ingredients and stir to combine.

  4. Allow to simmer and cook for about 3-5 minutes or until oats have thickened.

  5. Serve in a bowl and top with your favorite fruit or nut butters.
