Vanilla Cardamom Oats with Fruit Toppings

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 banana, diced
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • Pinch of cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, add oats, flax, salt, cinnamon, cardamom and vanilla.

  2. Stir to combine and then add in hot water.

  3. Cover bowl with a plate and allow to sit for 1-2 minutes to thicken.

  4. Once thickened, add diced banana and mix well to enhance creaminess.

  5. Top with strawberries and extra toppings as desired.
