Savory Baked Pizza Oats

Ingredients

  • 80g fine oats
  • 170g tomato sauce
  • Handful of grated vegan cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Italian herbs
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • garlic

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F

  2. Mix oats, tomato sauce, garlic, baking powder, olive oil and herbs

  3. Put half of the mixture in a small oven-proof bowl

  4. Add a bit of cheese on top

  5. Cover with the rest of the oats

  6. Top with more cheese and cherry tomatoes

  7. Bake for 15 minutes

  8. Increase oven temperature to maximum and bake for an additional 10 minutes

Notes

  1. Oats are a low-input crop that requires few resources to produce, encourages crop diversity, and helps combat soil erosion. They have a naturally bland taste, making them a blank canvas for seasonings and spices.
