Turkish Stuffed Grape Leaves
Ingredients
- Grape leaves, as needed
- 3 cups rice
- 4 onions
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2-2.5 cups hot water
- 1/4 cup pomegranate molasses
- 1 head garlic
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- Red pepper flakes to taste
- Ground red pepper to taste
- Mint to taste
Preparation
Mix all the filling ingredients together except the grape leaves and water.
Prepare the grape leaves by washing and separating them.
Place a small amount of filling in each grape leaf and roll tightly into thin cylinders.
Arrange the rolls in a pot, add hot water, and cook until the rice is tender and the leaves are soft.
Tips
Roll the grape leaves very thinly for the best texture and appearance.
