Classic Turkish Olive Piyaz

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped black olives
  • 1 cup chopped green olives
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 green onions
  • 5 walnuts
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sweet spicy pepper paste
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate molasses

Preparation

  1. Chop the onions into half-moon shapes.

  2. Finely chop the parsley and green onions.

  3. Chop the olives into rings and finely chop the walnuts with a knife.

  4. In a bowl, mix all the chopped ingredients.

  5. Add olive oil, lemon, salt, sweet spicy pepper paste, and pomegranate molasses to the mixture and stir.

  6. Serve with crispy bread.
