Prawn and Seaweed Sesame Toastie
Ingredients
Filling
- 200g prawns, minced
- 2cm piece fresh ginger, grated
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- Small handful coriander, chopped
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp fish sauce
Components
- 1 egg
- 4 tbsp black and white sesame seeds
- 100g crispy seaweed
- 4 slices of burger cheese (or cheese alternative)
- 4 slices white bread
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Sweet chilli sauce
Preparation
In a bowl, combine the minced prawns, ginger, garlic, coriander, soy sauce, oyster sauce, white pepper, and fish sauce
Spread a generous layer of the prawn mixture on one slice of bread. Then add two slices of cheese in the middle and top with a layer of crispy seaweed. Lightly press down on the sandwich
Beat the egg in a bowl and dip the sandwich, coating both sides. Press each side into a plate of black and white sesame seeds
Heat 1 tbsp sesame oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the sandwich on both sides until golden and crisp for 2-3 mins
Toast in an air fryer at 190°C for 7 minutes, until the outside is crispy and golden, and the inside is hot and cooked through
Serve with sweet chilli sauce
