Thai Shrimp and Chicken Shumai
Ingredients
- 200g shrimp or crab meat, coarsely chopped
- 150g chicken thigh meat, blended
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1.5 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1.5 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 3 cloves fried garlic
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- Jicama, cut into small cubes
- White part of green onion, sliced thinly
Wrapper
- Siomai or wonton wrappers
Toppings
- Fried garlic, as needed
Brushing oil
- Garlic oil
Preparation
Heat the steamer.
Mix all the ingredients together.
Place 1 tablespoon of the mixture into each siomai wrapper.
Steam for 15 minutes.
After cooking, remove, brush with garlic oil, and sprinkle with fried garlic.
