Crispy Tofu


  • 1 block (about 14 ounces) extra-firm tofu
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper


  1. Drain & press your tofu

  2. Once most of the water is out, slice your tofu into small squares or whichever shape you’d like

  3. Add your tofu to a large mixing bowl

  4. Drizzle with olive oil, and toss until evenly coated

  5. Sprinkle evenly with cornstarch, salt, garlic powder and black pepper

  6. Gently toss until the tofu is evenly coated

  7. Arrange tofu on a parchment paper lined baking sheet

  8. One layer

  9. No tofu touching

  10. Bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees

  11. Flip each tofu over, bake another 15-20 minutes or until tofu reaches your desired crispiness
