Kimchi and Silken Tofu Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon red chili powder (or more to taste)
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • 2 green onions or 1 large onion
  • 300g kimchi
  • 400g water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Kelpamare (optional)
  • 400g silken tofu
  • 1 handful broad beans (about 6 pods)

Preparation

  1. In a pot (cast iron is best), sauté the finely chopped garlic with sesame oil, chili, and the white part of the green onions for a few minutes.

  2. Once the aromas have developed, add soy sauce, Kelpamare, kimchi cut to appropriate size, broad beans, and water.

  3. Bring to a boil for a few minutes, then add large spoonfuls of silken tofu.

  4. When everything is hot, serve and sprinkle with the green part of the green onions.

Tips

  1. Try this soup if you like kimchi or have digestive issues.
