Korean Style Grains

Ingredients

  • 1 x 250g pouch of merchant gourmet zingy korean style grains⁣
  • 200g fresh soft tofu⁣
  • 1 tbsp of sesame seeds⁣
  • 4 spring onions⁣
  • splash of sesame⁣
  • for the dressing; (enough for a few portions)⁣
  • 150ml light soy sauce⁣
  • juice and zest from one mandarin⁣
  • juice from one lemon⁣
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil⁣
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds⁣
  • 1 tsp finely grated ginger⁣

Preparation

  1. This dish is so simple! firstly, make the dressing by mixing the soy, ginger, sesame oil, lemon and mandarin juice together in a little saucepan and bringing to the boil⁣

  2. Simmer for 5 minutes, take off the heat and add the zest of mandarin⁣

  3. Heat up a little more sesame oil, add three sliced spring onions (retaining one for garnish), and once softened add the merchant gourmet korean grains until warmed through

  4. Serve between two plates⁣

  5. Next, take the tofu carefully out of the packet and roll in the sesame seeds⁣

  6. Cut the tofu into four slices and arrange between the two plates⁣

  7. To serve, simply drizzle with with the ponzu dressing and sprinkle over some extra spring onions⁣
