Quick Vegan Chow Fun
Ingredients
- 200g homemade flat rice noodles
- 1/2 block of firm tofu, diced
- 100g choy sum
- Handful mung bean sprouts
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce (optional)
- 1/4 cup water, as needed
- Oil for cooking
Preparation
Heat oil in a pan and pan-fry the diced tofu until browned. Set the tofu aside.
In the same pan, add chopped garlic and onion. Sauté until fragrant.
Add the choy sum to the pan and cook for about 2 minutes.
Next, add the homemade flat rice noodles, vegetarian oyster sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, white pepper, water, and dark soy sauce (if using) for color.
Stir-fry the mixture for a few more minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
Add the mung bean sprouts to the pan and continue to stir-fry until they are incorporated.
Transfer the chow fun to a serving plate.
Enjoy the dish with Sambal or garlic chili sauce.
