Fresh Spirulina Pesto with Basil and Almonds

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh basil
  • 3/4 cup raw almonds
  • 1 tbsp SpiraVeg fresh spirulina
  • 1 clove garlic, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Preparation

  1. Pulse basil, almonds, garlic and 1/2 tsp sea salt in a food processor to combine.

  2. Add oil gradually, processing until mixture is finely chopped.

  3. Pulse in lemon juice, to taste.

  4. Mix in SpiraVeg fresh spirulina and add to your favourite pasta.

Tips

  1. For maximum nutritional value, it’s best to enjoy SpiraVeg fresh spirulina in its RAW form (i.e. not cooked).
