Cauliflower Macaroni Cheeze
Ingredients
- 1 small cauliflower, cut into florets
- 200 g/7 oz Marconi pasta
- 2 quantities cheese sauce
- cheeze sauce
- 250 ml8 fl oz water
- 130 g/4 1/2 oz (cashews nuts) if allergic to nuts swapped nuts for chickpeas
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 spring onions chopped
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes
- 1/4 tsp salt
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4
Cook the macaroni in pan of boiling water according to the packet instructions
Meanwhile prepare the cheese sauce
Once everything is ready. Mix them together, then transfer to a baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes until browned. Serve with bread or potatoes
Blend all the ingredients until smooth, then gently heat in a pan until thick and creamy
This simple dairy-free cheeze sauce can be poured over steamed vegetables and rice, or stirred through pasta or served as a dip with oven rainbow oven fries
