Sesame Glazed Cauliflower Bowl with Asian Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 small cauliflower
  • 1/3 cup flour (can be gluten-free)
  • 1/3 cup water
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • Pinch of garlic and onion powder

Sauce

  • 1 clove garlic
  • ginger (same size as garlic)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup vegetable stock
  • 1 teaspoon cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon water

Preparation

  1. Mix the batter ingredients and coat the cauliflower.

  2. Place the coated cauliflower in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius and spray with a little olive oil, cook for 40 minutes or until golden.

  3. For the sauce: mix garlic, ginger, brown sugar or maple syrup, rice wine vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and vegetable stock together, add to a pan and bring to a boil.

  4. Add in 1 teaspoon cornflour mixed with 1 tablespoon water to the sauce, then turn the heat down to low until it reaches desired thickness.

  5. Coat the cauliflower with the sauce.
