Sesame Glazed Cauliflower Bowl with Asian Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 small cauliflower
- 1/3 cup flour (can be gluten-free)
- 1/3 cup water
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- Pinch of garlic and onion powder
Sauce
- 1 clove garlic
- ginger (same size as garlic)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 cup vegetable stock
- 1 teaspoon cornflour
- 1 tablespoon water
Preparation
Mix the batter ingredients and coat the cauliflower.
Place the coated cauliflower in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius and spray with a little olive oil, cook for 40 minutes or until golden.
For the sauce: mix garlic, ginger, brown sugar or maple syrup, rice wine vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and vegetable stock together, add to a pan and bring to a boil.
Add in 1 teaspoon cornflour mixed with 1 tablespoon water to the sauce, then turn the heat down to low until it reaches desired thickness.
Coat the cauliflower with the sauce.
