Baked Sesame Cauliflower with Sauce
Ingredients
Batter
- 1 small cauliflower
- 1/3 cup flour (can be gluten-free)
- 1/3 cup water
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- Pinch of garlic powder
- Pinch of onion powder
Sauce
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 piece ginger (same size as garlic)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 cup vegetable stock
- 1 teaspoon cornflour
- 1 tablespoon water (for cornflour mixture)
Other
- Olive oil (for spraying)
Preparation
Cut the cauliflower into florets
Preheat the oven to 180°C
Mix the batter ingredients and coat the cauliflower florets.
Place the coated cauliflower in the oven, spray with a little olive oil, and cook for 40 minutes or until golden.
Mix the sauce ingredients together and add to a pan.
Bring the sauce to a boil.
Add 1 teaspoon cornflour mixed with 1 tablespoon water to the sauce.
Reduce heat to low and stir until the sauce reaches desired thickness.
Coat the cooked cauliflower with the sauce.
