Easy Mushroom Gravy

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • himalayan salt & crushed black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp tapioca flour (or 1 tbsp cornstarch)
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1/2 cup yellow onions, chopped
  • OPTIONAL: 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar

Preparation

  1. In a pot – saute mushrooms and onions (stir frequently) until they are reduced in volume and excess water is evaporated

  2. Add garlic, thyme, salt & pepper to mushrooms – and stir around in saute for a bit

  3. In separate bowl - add tapioca flour to cup of water and stir well – then add slowly to mushrooms until gravy has thickened

  4. Enjoy on mashed cauliflower or potatoes
