Crispy Matzo Toffee with Chocolate and Nuts

Ingredients

  • 4 sheets matzo
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans, almonds, or walnuts)
  • Flaky sea salt

Preparation

  1. Melt butter and brown sugar, whisk until thick, then stir in vanilla

  2. Pour over matzo on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 10-12 min

  3. Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips on top, let sit for 1-2 min, then spread

  4. Top with nuts and sea salt, then chill until set

  5. Break into pieces and enjoy

Tips

  1. Sweet, salty, and totally addictive. Make a double batch because it disappears quickly
