No Sugar Walnut Dates Barfi
Ingredients
- 200 grams walnuts
- 150 grams dates
- 100 grams khoya or paneer
- 2 teaspoons ghee
- 1 tablespoon ghee
Preparation
Dry roast 200 grams walnuts and chop them coarsely.
In a pan, heat up 2 teaspoons ghee and add 150 grams of dates. Cook on a slow medium flame until the dates are soft.
Remove the softened dates. In the same pan, add another tablespoon of ghee and roast the chopped walnuts until you catch a lovely toasty aroma.
Mix in 100 grams of khoya or paneer and cook for about 5-10 minutes until everything blends beautifully.
Add the soft dates back in and mix until the ingredients come together perfectly.
Press the mixture into a greased pan, flatten it nicely, and sprinkle some toasted walnuts on top.
Cut into pieces and enjoy!
