Raw Berry Chocolate Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cacao butter
  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 1 cup raw cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup dried berries

Preparation

  1. Put shredded cacao butter and coconut oil in a big bowl.

  2. Set the bowl above a kettle filled with boiling water.

  3. Stir carefully until you have a well combined and melted mixture.

  4. Add raw cacao powder and mix well.

  5. Add maple syrup and dried berries.

  6. Pour the chocolate mixture in a tray.

  7. Put in a fridge to set and cut into pieces.

  8. Store chilled.

  9. Sprinkle a bit cranberry powder over the chocolate chunks.

Notes

  1. Chocolate is not inherently unhealthy, but balance is key to avoid adverse health outcomes from excess saturated fat.

  2. Antioxidants in dark chocolate can lower blood pressure and reduce risks of stroke, coronary heart disease, and death from heart disease.

  3. Chocolate provides psycho-social benefits and is high in magnesium, contributing to its calming effects.
