Caramelized Onion Meat-Free Beef Pasta
Ingredients
- Brown onions
- Mushrooms
- Tender beef-style pieces
- Oxo meat-free beef flavor stock cube
- Pasta (springerelli)
- 4 Laughing Cow extra light cheese triangles
- Kallo umami stock cube
- 10g Italian hard cheese
- Salad
- Rapeseed oil
Preparation
Slice and caramelize onions in rapeseed oil for 30 minutes in a non-stick wok with a lid on, stirring every 5 minutes until dark brown and sticky
Add sliced mushrooms and tender beef-style pieces halfway through the onion caramelization process
Cook the pasta according to package instructions
Mix the Oxo meat-free beef flavor stock cube, Kallo umami stock cube, 4 Laughing Cow extra light cheese triangles, and 10g Italian hard cheese to create a sauce without fully melting the cheese
Combine the wok contents with the sauce and heat through
Serve with salad
Tips
Do not fully melt the cheese to create pockets of silky fat throughout the dish
