Steak and Potato Dinner
Ingredients
- russet potatoes
- chicken stock
- heavy cream
- butter
- salt
- black pepper
- seasonings of choice
- optional cheese
- broccolini
- olive oil
- avocado oil
- steak

Preparation
Peel and slice russet potatoes, then strain them in water.
Bring chicken stock to a boil and boil the potatoes until fork tender.
Strain out the liquid, return the potatoes to the pan, and begin mashing them.
Stir in heavy cream, butter, salt, pepper, and seasonings of your choice; sprinkle in cheese of choice if desired.
Drizzle olive oil over broccolini, season with salt and pepper, and bake at 425°F for 15 minutes.
Season steak with salt, pepper, and additional spices of your choosing.
Add avocado oil to a cast-iron skillet and bring to medium-high heat.
Sear the steak on the first side for 6 minutes and on the second side for 4 minutes.
Baste the steak with butter and set it aside to rest.
