Vegan Italian Pasta Bolognese
Ingredients
- 200g pasta
- 1 package vegan bolognese mince
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 400g crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 8 cherry tomatoes
- 1 tbsp sugar
Preparation
Cook the pasta according to package instructions and set aside.
In a skillet with a little oil, sauté the onion and garlic until well softened.
Add the vegetable mince and stir until it starts to brown.
Add the salt, paprika, black pepper, and crushed tomatoes.
Let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
In a bowl, mix the sugar with the halved cherry tomatoes.
Caramelize the tomatoes in a skillet.
Finally, add the pasta and mix well with the sauce.
Tips
Always substitute parsley leaves with basil leaves for a stylish presentation with pasta.
When making tomato sauce, use a lid to avoid splattering, which can stain clothes; hand-washing is better than machine washing for stains.
If you serve this pasta as a non-vegan dish, people might not notice it's vegan, and when revealed, someone might claim they knew it was vegan.
