Baileys Chocolate Layered Dessert with Cookies
Ingredients
- 150 g chocolate sandwich cookies
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 50 ml milk
- 100 ml Irish coffee liqueur (e.g., Baileys)
- 500 g heavy cream
- 1 packet whipped cream stabilizer
Preparation
Separate the chocolate sandwich cookies into halves and scrape out the milk cream filling with a table knife. Place the cookie wafers in a freezer bag and crush finely with a rolling pin
Chop the dark chocolate. Heat the milk and Irish coffee liqueur until boiling. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped chocolate until melted. Chill the chocolate mixture until cool
Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, gradually sprinkling in the whipped cream stabilizer. Set aside half of the whipped cream. Mix the scraped milk cream filling and the remaining Irish coffee liqueur into one portion of the whipped cream to form the light cream. Fold the other portion of whipped cream into the cooled chocolate mixture to form the chocolate cream
Divide the cookie crumbs among prepared 150 ml glasses, using 1 tablespoon per glass. Pour half of the chocolate cream into each glass, followed by half of the light cream. Sprinkle a thin layer of crumbs over the light cream. Top with the remaining chocolate cream and then the remaining light cream. Chill for at least one hour. Just before serving, garnish with additional cookie crumbs if desired
