Vegan Strawberry Dubai Cups
Ingredients
- Fresh strawberries
- 1 cup kataifi pastry
- 1/2 cup pistachio cream
- Melted chocolate
Optional additions
- Pinch of matcha powder
- Chopped pistachios
Preparation
Wash and slice the strawberries.
Chop and toast the kataifi pastry in a pan over medium heat until golden brown if it is not pre-toasted.
In a bowl, combine the kataifi pastry and pistachio cream, adding more or less cream to achieve the desired consistency.
Melt the chocolate.
Assemble the cups by layering strawberries, the pistachio-kataifi mixture, and melted chocolate, repeating the layers until the cups are filled.
Tips
Optionally add a pinch of matcha to the pistachio cream mixture to enhance the green color.
Top the assembled cups with chopped pistachios if desired.
The recipe yields about 2 small cups or one large cup and is very filling and indulgent.
Check if the kataifi pastry is already toasted before preparing, as some brands may be pre-toasted.
