Chicken Basmati Rice Pilaf

Ingredients

  • 500 grams chopped chicken
  • 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1.5 cups basmati rice
  • 75-80 grams butter
  • 3 cups hot water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • half teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

  1. Chop the chicken into small pieces and sauté in olive oil until cooked

  2. Grate the onion and carrots finely, add to the chicken, and stir until both are cooked

  3. Soak the rice in water, drain, and add to the pot

  4. Add butter, salt, and pepper, and mix everything together

  5. Add boiling water, cover, and cook until the water is absorbed

  6. After the water is absorbed, place a cloth under the lid and let it rest for half an hour

  1. This method eliminates the typical odor of basmati rice and enhances its flavor
