Masala Baby Potatoes

Ingredients

  • baby potatoes: 12-15
  • onion: 1 minced
  • ginger powder: 1 t
  • garlic powder: 1 t
  • spices
  • cumin seeds: 1 t
  • asafoetida: 1 t
  • chilli powder: 1 t
  • garam masala: 1 t
  • curry powder: 1 t
  • amchur powder: 1 t
  • pepper powder: 1/2 t
  • salt: 1-2 t
  • oil: 4t

Preparation

  1. Boil and peel baby potatoes

  2. Add 4 t oil to a skillet

  3. Add potatoes and cook till golden brown on all sides

  4. Pick them out of the skillet and keep aside

  5. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida into the remaining oil

  6. When cumin seeds splutter add onions, ginger, garlic and salt

  7. Cook for a few minutes then add the remaining spices

  8. If you feel the mixture is too dry add a bit more oil

  9. Transfer cooked potatoes to the skillet and stir well to coat
