Savory Whole Wheat Cumin Cookies
Ingredients
- 60 grams ghee
- 2 small ice cubes
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- Salt to taste
- 100 grams whole wheat flour
- 1.5 tablespoons roasted cumin seeds
Preparation
Take a mixing bowl.
Add 60 grams of ghee.
Add 2 small ice cubes and whisk well.
Continue whisking until the mixture reaches a creamy consistency.
Add 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and beat well.
Add salt to taste.
Add 100 grams of whole wheat flour.
Add 1.5 tablespoons of roasted cumin seeds.
Gently mix with a spatula without kneading by hand to avoid melting the ghee.
Flatten the dough using a rolling pin and adjust the thickness with hands.
Cut the dough into cookies using a cookie or round cutter.
Place the cookies on baking trays lined with parchment paper.
Baking methods
For oven baking, preheat the oven to 170°C for 10 minutes and bake for 12-15 minutes.
For stove-top baking, set up a steamer with a stand, preheat it, place the tray inside, cover the lid with a cloth, and bake on low flame for 20-25 minutes.
Allow the cookies to cool completely.
Serve the cookies with hot coffee or tea.
