Baked Vegan Gingerbread Donuts Treat

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons flax seeds
  • 1/2 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup coconut or raw sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsulfured molasses
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup non dairy milk
  • 2 cups flour (I used spelt)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease 2 large or mini donut pans.

  2. In a large bowl mix 2 Tablespoons flax seeds with 6 Tbsp water. Set aside and gather your other ingredients.

  3. Then grab your large bowl with the flax egg in it, and stir in coconut oil, coconut sugar, molasses, applesauce and non dairy milk. Stir well.

  4. Then add flour, baking soda, baking powder and spices. Stir until just blended.

  5. Pour into prepared donut tin and bake 15-18 minutes.

  6. Allow to sit for at least 10 minutes before turning out.

  7. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar and enjoy!
