Easy Homemade Vegan Pizza
Ingredients
Dough
- 3 cups flour (360g)
- 1 packet of yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/2 tsp salt
Vegan cheese
- 1/2 cauliflower (375g)
- 3.5 tbsp tapioca flour
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2-1 cup non-dairy milk, unsweetened and no flavor
Pizza sauce
- 3/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp parsley
- 1/4 oregano
- A pinch red pepper flakes
Preparation
Combine dough ingredients in a bowl, mix to form a dough, and knead until smooth
Cover dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size
For vegan cheese, blend cauliflower, tapioca flour, nutritional yeast, salt, and non-dairy milk until smooth, then cook in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until thickened
For pizza sauce, mix tomato sauce, garlic powder, parsley, oregano, and red pepper flakes in a bowl
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F)
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to desired pizza shape and thickness
Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough
Spread the vegan cheese over the sauce
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly
