Easy Homemade Vegan Pizza

Ingredients

Dough

  • 3 cups flour (360g)
  • 1 packet of yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Vegan cheese

  • 1/2 cauliflower (375g)
  • 3.5 tbsp tapioca flour
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2-1 cup non-dairy milk, unsweetened and no flavor

Pizza sauce

  • 3/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp parsley
  • 1/4 oregano
  • A pinch red pepper flakes

Preparation

  1. Combine dough ingredients in a bowl, mix to form a dough, and knead until smooth

  2. Cover dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size

  3. For vegan cheese, blend cauliflower, tapioca flour, nutritional yeast, salt, and non-dairy milk until smooth, then cook in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until thickened

  4. For pizza sauce, mix tomato sauce, garlic powder, parsley, oregano, and red pepper flakes in a bowl

  5. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F)

  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to desired pizza shape and thickness

  7. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough

  8. Spread the vegan cheese over the sauce

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly
