Easy Sticky Orange Tofu

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of Cauldron tofu
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • 2-inch piece of ginger
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 1-2 tbsp sriracha chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
  • 3 tbsp tamari
  • 150ml water
  • Sesame oil

Garnish

  • Sesame seeds
  • Spring onion

Preparation

  1. Drain the tofu well for 10 minutes while you prepare the rest.

  2. Cut the garlic and ginger as finely as possible.

  3. Slice the spring onion.

  4. Cut the tofu into bite-sized chunks, heat a pan, add sesame oil, and fry the tofu until browned and slightly crispy, about 10 minutes.

  5. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for a further 3 minutes, stirring often.

  6. Sprinkle over the cornstarch and cook until there are no more white bits.

  7. Add the tamari, chilli sauces, orange juice and water, stir well.

  8. Bring to the boil and then reduce to a simmer for 5-10 minutes.

  9. Serve with rice and some greens and enjoy.
