Mint Slice Matcha Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (homemade is best)
- 2 tsp Matcha Green Tea powder (look for organic)
- 1-2 sprigs of fresh mint leaves
- 1 large frozen banana (peel before freezing)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds (I use white to keep the glowing colour)
- 1/8 – 1/4 slice of avocado (depending on what you can tolerate)
- a handful of washed organic baby spinach
- 2 drops of pure vanilla essence or 1/8 tsp vanilla bean powder
- 1 heaping tbsp cacao nibs for topping/crunch
Preparation
Add all ingredients except the cacao nibs to a high-speed blender or thermomix and blitz on high until creamy and smooth.
Ensure the matcha powder is well combined.
Add the cacao nibs and blitz for 1-2 more seconds to retain some crunch.
Top with extra cacao nibs and or mint leaves.
