General Tso's Tempeh
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 head of broccoli cut into florets 200 g
- 240 g tempeh diced
- 1 tbsp minced ginger
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup Ketchup
- 1 tsp Sriracha sauce
- 1 cup vegetable broth 250 ml
Preparation
In a large skillet, over high heat, sauté vegetables, tempeh and ginger in oil for 5 minutes
Add soy sauce, maple syrup, ketchup, sriracha sauce, vegetable broth and stir to combine
Bring to a boil stirring constantly and cook until vegetables are tender
Serve over basmati rice
