Kiwi Pineapple Infused Pani Puri

Ingredients

Pani

  • 2 chopped kiwifruits
  • 1 chopped pineapple
  • 1 medium piece ginger
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 1 bunch coriander
  • 1 small bunch mint leaves
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1.5 teaspoons roasted cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 1 teaspoon black salt
  • Salt to taste
  • Finely chopped kiwi fruit
  • Finely chopped pineapple
  • Mint leaves
  • Crispy masala boondi

Stuffing

  • Boiled black chana
  • Boiled moong
  • Boiled potato
  • Cumin powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Red chilli powder
  • Salt

Preparation

Making pani

  1. In a mixer jar, take 2 chopped kiwifruits, add one chopped pineapple, a medium size piece of ginger, and 2-3 green chillies.

  2. Add a bunch of coriander and a small bunch of mint leaves.

  3. Squeeze one lemon juice into it and churn the mixer.

  4. Strain the mixture and take out the pani.

  5. Add 1.5 teaspoons roasted cumin powder, 1 teaspoon chilli flakes, 1 teaspoon black salt and regular salt, then mix everything.

  6. Add some more finely chopped kiwi fruit, finely chopped pineapple and mint leaves.

  7. Add some crispy masala boondi.

Preparing stuffing

  1. In a bowl, take boiled black chana, boiled moong and boiled potato.

  2. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt, then mix it nicely.

Serving

  1. Fill the stuffing in the puri.

  2. Fill in the kiwi pineapple pani and serve it sour, spicy and mildly sweet with no need for sweet chutney.

Tips

  1. Kiwifruit is the highest in vitamin C compared to oranges or lemons.

  2. No sweet chutney is needed because the natural sweetness of the fruits provides it.
