No-Fry Vegetable Poha Nuggets

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soaked poha
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped capsicum
  • Finely chopped green chillies
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped carrot
  • Some finely chopped spring onion
  • Handful of finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 3 medium sized shredded parboiled potatoes
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dhaniya powder
  • 1 teaspoon amchur powder
  • 1 teaspoon mildly roasted crushed coriander seeds
  • 2 teaspoons white sesame seeds
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 tablespoons besan
  • 2-3 tablespoons oil
  • Bread crumbs

Preparation

  1. Take a mixing bowl.

  2. Add soaked poha.

  3. Add 2 tablespoons finely chopped capsicum.

  4. Add finely chopped green chillies.

  5. Add 1/4 cup finely chopped carrot.

  6. Add some finely chopped spring onion.

  7. Add handful of finely chopped coriander leaves.

  8. Add 3 medium sized shredded parboiled potatoes.

  9. Add a pinch of turmeric powder.

  10. Add red chilli powder.

  11. Add 1/2 teaspoon dhaniya powder.

  12. Add 1 teaspoon amchur powder.

  13. Add 1 teaspoon mildly roasted crushed coriander seeds.

  14. Add 2 teaspoons white sesame seeds.

  15. Add salt as per taste.

  16. Add 2 tablespoons besan.

  17. Mix it and bind well with hands.

  18. Grease a tray with oil to set nuggets.

  19. Place mixture in the tray and flatten with spatula.

  20. Cut it into squares or any shape.

  21. Coat all nuggets into bread crumbs.

  22. Heat the pan.

  23. Pour 2 tablespoons oil and spread it.

  24. Drizzle some white sesame seeds.

  25. Place all nuggets and drizzle some oil on them.

  26. Fry on slow to medium flame.

  27. Cook until they turn golden-brown from both sides.

  28. Take them on a serving plate and serve with tomato ketchup.
