Golden Coin Fried Snack

Ingredients

  • 2 boiled potatoes
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup chopped capsicum
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • 1 tsp red chilli paste
  • 1 tsp soya sauce
  • Salt as per taste
  • Some bread sliced
  • 1/4 cup white sesame seeds
  • Oil for deep fry

Slurry

  • 1/4 cup cornflour
  • Water as needed

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, add boiled and grated potatoes, grated carrot, chopped capsicum, chopped onion, chopped green chillies, red chilli paste, soya sauce, and salt to taste and mix well.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix cornflour with water to make a medium-thin slurry.

  3. Cut bread slices into round shapes using a cutter or katori.

  4. Spread the potato mixture on the bread slices.

  5. Apply the slurry to the bread using a brush and coat well with white sesame seeds.

  6. Deep fry in medium-hot oil until golden brown.

Notes

  1. This is a quick and easy snack that can be packed in school tiffins.
