Vegan Bbq Cauliflower Steak
Ingredients
- 1 large head of cauliflower
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons tamari or soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Slice the cauliflower head into thick steaks about 1-inch wide.
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, tamari or soy sauce, maple syrup, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
Brush the marinade evenly over both sides of the cauliflower steaks.
Preheat a grill or barbecue to medium-high heat and cook the steaks for 5-7 minutes per side until tender and charred, or bake in a preheated oven at 400°F for 20-25 minutes until done.
