Traditional Almond Crescent Cookies
Ingredients
- 2.5 cups flour
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups sliced almonds
- 0.5 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk
For decoration
- powdered sugar
Preparation
Preheat oven to 325°F.
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.
In another bowl, cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla extract and milk, and mix well.
Stir in sliced almonds.
Gradually add the flour mixture to form a dough.
Shape the dough into crescent forms and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden.
Cool slightly and roll in powdered sugar for decoration.
