Bagel Board for Brunch

Ingredients

  • a dozen bagels
  • 1 pack of bacon
  • 6-8 eggs
  • 1 pack of smoked salmon
  • 2 types of cream cheese (regular and herb and garlic)
  • 10 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1/2 red onion
  • 1 small bunch of fresh dill

Optional additions

  • other deli meats like spicy salami or mortadella
  • capers
  • chili flakes
  • hot sauce
  • mayo

Preparation

  1. Cook the bacon by baking it in the oven.

  2. Slice the bagels and spread them on a large baking sheet; broil for a few minutes before serving.

  3. Slice the tomatoes, onion, and cheese, and prepare the board.

  4. Assemble the condiments and cream cheese.

  5. Five minutes before brunch, fry the eggs sunny side up or over easy, and toast the bagels.

Tips

  1. Alternate bites between bacon and egg or cream cheese and smoked salmon for a varied experience.

  2. Save this for hosting brunch to impress guests.
