Homemade Vegan Yeasted Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 Tbl sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups oat milk

Additions

  • 1/4 cup melted @earthbalance butter
  • 2 Tbl ground flax (golden)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Preparation

  1. Mix together in a large glass or plastic bowl, cover, and let sit on the counter overnight or at least an hour

  2. In the morning or after an hour, mix the following into the yeasted batter

  3. Let sit for 5 minutes while your waffle maker heats

  4. Spray your waffle maker with oil and fill with enough batter according to your maker size

  5. Cook for 6-8 minutes depending on how hot your maker is

  6. Serve immediately or place in 200F oven until ready to eat

Tips

  1. Waffles reheat well in a toaster or in an air fryer at 320F for 3 minutes
