Peanut Butter and Almonds Banana Bread Toast
Ingredients
Banana bread
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed (around 280 g)
- 1 egg
- 150 g brown sugar
- 150 g applesauce
- 280 g all-purpose flour
- 10 g baking powder
Toast toppings
- banana bread slices
- peanut butter (or any nut butter)
- almonds or other nuts you like
- shredded coconut
Preparation
In a large bowl, beat the egg with the sugar.
Add the applesauce to the egg mixture and combine it well.
Next, add the pre-sieved flour and the baking powder, and mix it thoroughly.
Add the mashed bananas into the bowl.
Preheat your oven to 180°C.
Line your banana bread pan with some parchment paper.
Pour the mixture into the pan and spread it evenly.
Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour, until fully cooked.
Remove from oven and set on a rack to cool down.
Toast assembly
Optionally toast the banana bread slices or serve them untoasted.
Spread peanut butter on the banana bread slices.
Sprinkle crushed almonds and coconut flakes on top.
