Homemade Low-FODMAP Seeded Nutella

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw activated sunflower seeds
  • 1.5 tablespoons pure vanilla extract or vanilla powder
  • 1/4 cup raw cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or 20 drops stevia
  • Pinch of Celtic sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup almond milk

Preparation

  1. Add a little coconut oil to a medium non-stick pan and toast sunflower seeds over medium-high heat, stirring frequently.

  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature.

  3. In the bowl of a food processor, process toasted sunflower seeds, stopping every now and then to scrape down the sides of the bowl, until they turn to a thick, creamy butter.

  4. Add in the remaining nutella ingredients and blend for an additional 4-5 minutes or until smooth and creamy.
