Chicken and Shrimp Siomay
Ingredients
- 550 g chicken
- 100 g peeled shrimp
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1.5 tbsp oyster sauce
- 100 g jicama, grated
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tbsp salt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp stock powder, optional
- 125 g sago flour
- Wonton or siomay wrappers
- Grated carrot
Chili sauce
- Chili peppers (bird's eye or large red)
- Garlic cloves
- Water
Preparation
Chop the chicken and shrimp.
Mix all ingredients together and knead until well combined.
Wrap the mixture with siomay wrappers, sprinkle the top with grated carrot, and steam for 20-30 minutes depending on size.
Serve ready.
Chili sauce
Boil chili peppers and garlic with a little water.
Blend until smooth.
Tips
To keep the wrappers soft after cooling, spray or brush with water before steaming and ensure they are not left in an open container.
