Extra Creamy Classic Hummus
Ingredients
- 2 cans organic chickpeas
- 1 cup tahini
- Juice of one lemon
- Reserved chickpea liquid
- 3-4 garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Preparation
Drain one can of chickpeas and reserve the liquid from the second can.
Blend all ingredients including the reserved chickpea liquid in a high speed blender until smooth and creamy.
Plate the hummus in a shallow bowl.
Decorate with chopped purple onions, roasted chickpeas, cherry tomatoes, parsley, lemon wedges, and crushed red pepper.
Serve with warm pita bread.
