Introducing Meat to Babies

Ingredients

  • 1-2 teaspoons puréed beef
  • 2-4 teaspoons vegetables (e.g., sweet potato, broccoli)
  • beef mince
  • lamb mince
  • egg
  • bread crumbs
  • beef or lamb for slow cooking
  • chicken thigh meat

Preparation

  1. For puréed meat: Add 1-2 teaspoons of puréed beef to 2-4 teaspoons of vegetables such as sweet potato or broccoli.

  2. For meatballs: Mix beef or lamb mince with an egg and bread crumbs. Shape into balls or finger shapes. Cook by baking or frying until done

  3. For slow-cooked meat: Preheat oven to 150°C Cook beef or lamb for 1.5-2 hours until it falls apart.

  4. For slow-roasted chicken: Roast chicken thigh meat in the oven until cooked Offer the darker thigh meat to the baby.
