Almond Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of almond flour
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbs of raw turbinado sugar
  • 1/4 cup of raw coconut oil
  • 2 tbs of grade b maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp of baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp of almond extract
  • 1/4 cup of melted dark chocolate
  • almond slices

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 325. In a medium sized bowl combine all ingredients excluding melted chocolate and almond slices

  2. Knead together until dough starts to form(dough will be sandlike in texture). On a baking sheet add small balls of dough and with palms gently press to form. Bake in oven 15-20 minutes

  3. Once time is up remove cookies from oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Drizzle on melted chocolate and add sliced almonds. Place cookies in freezer for 5 minutes allowing chocolate to harden. Once time is up serve and enjoy
